Janine Moyer Buesgen began performing for audiences at the age of four in dance recitals and family productions. Prior to that, she participated in creative drama activities with her imaginary friends. She continued her work in this field through her childhood, playing "let's pretend" with dozens of classmates. Janine suffered a slight setback in fourth grade when the actors in a play she had written read the stage directions instead of the lines, resulting in Janine's utter mortification.

Janine acted in her first full-length play in seventh grade. She followed up that role as the emcee in a Stone Age beauty pagaent with leads in two utterly forgettable pieces of dramatic literature (so forgettable were they that she has no idea of what the titles were).

During high school, Janine acted, sang and danced in school and community musicals. She took classes at the Stage Door Workshop (Allentown, PA), and dreamed of becoming famous someday. Her positions as summer theatre camp counselor and student director led her to the realization that she wanted to teach theatre.

Janine received her degree in drama education at the Catholic University of America (Washington, DC), where she did everything theatrical. She student taught at the Sidwell Friends School.

Since graduation, Janine has taught with Roundhouse Theatre's Arts Day Program (Washington, DC), and American Music Theatre Festival's Rainbow Connection (Philadelphia, PA).

For the past two years, Janine has worked at Medill Bair High School (Fairless Hills, PA) as a building substitute and the stage manager for the theatre productions. She serves as assistant director for International Thespian Society Troupe #5650 under Mary Kay Everett, and has directed one-acts and production numbers for troupe competitions. She is currently in search of a permanent position in a school as an English/Theatre teacher.
